Our Services
Archives Lanark is open every Friday from 10am - 3pm, year round.
Walk-ins are welcome for a $2 fee during open hours and volunteer assisted research is provided.
We offer “open by appointment” if you are unable to visit during business hours. Please refer to pricing below.
The Archives is equipped with photocopiers and microfiche/microfilm readers. We have a searchable database of our holdings
and internet available to assist with web searches. Original land deeds and most other records are available for viewing.
Archives volunteers will retrieve them upon request.
Research
Volunteer guided research enables novices and experienced researchers to access our records in a productive and thorough way.
Copying
Archives Lanark, a non-profit organization, provides reproduction of its textual and photographic holdings on a user-fee basis.
The Archives operates under strict Copyright and Intellectual Property Policies and Research and Reproduction Services Policies,
ensuring adherence to applicable copyright law and intellectual property rights. Copying of archival material is for the purpose of research only.
Use for any other purpose is subject to copyright laws. The Archives reserves the right to limit access to photocopying/scanning
of documents that are restricted for privacy reasons or fragile condition.
